The Story

For over 25 years, KDHX has consistently showcased the best of Saint Louis’ arts and culture, serving as a presenter and promoter of independent music, non-profit and arts organizations, street-level arts and culture, and independent film.

The new center will be named in honor of Larry J. Weir, who joined KDHX as operations manager in 1987 and continued in that role until his untimely death in 2010. Larry was a champion for emerging and established artists and understood the power of independent voices to connect people and build communities. He trained many of the volunteers who have contributed to KDHX over the years.

Each year, KDHX donates over $1 million in free publicity through public service announcements, calendar listings, event sponsorships, and arts reviews.
